GK: Our sound effects man Mr. Fred Newman was in his dressing room an hour ago, drying his hair (SFX) with an old 2000-watt hair dryer and it knocked out the power at Wolf Trap (MOTOR FADES, DIES. SHOUTS OF ALARM) which threw out our sound system (FEEDBACK) so Fred decided to take off on his rusty pogo stick (SFX) and in the parking lot he found a parrot locked in a car (SFX) and that's not right, so he jimmied the lock (SFX) and got in and the parrot said (PARROT: Take me for a ride, big boy) so Fred did (CAR REV, ACCEL) and it was a Lamborghini, a car that not many sound effects men ever get to drive and so he was going too fast and (SCREECH) he ran it off the road and over a curb (SFX) and blew a tire (SFX) and had to fix it and in the trunk was an air wrench (SFX) and Fred started fooling with it and found he could play - "Memories from Cats" (SFX) and "Keep on the Sunny Side of Life" (SFX) and "Inna Gadda Davida" and pretty soon he'd drawn a crowd and he was doing his dolphin impression (SFX) and doing a humpback whale doing Led Zeppelin's "A Whole Lotta Love" - and a girl got up from the crowd (FN GIRL: That's nothing. Listen to this.) and she did "Hall of the Mt King" on a hotel key-card (SFX) and Fred came back with a schnauzer, a spitz and a Chihuahua doing My Favorite things and she came back at him (FN GIRL: Stand back, fella) with "Flight of the Bumblebee" (SFX GARGLE) and then he did his nose-blowing number "Please, Release Me" (SFX) and she came back at him with a chainsaw (SFX) and Fred took off ----

GK: ...luckily he had his rocket backpack so he took off (SFX) and made it back here in time for the show, and the sound system as you can see has been fixed. (FN ECHO: has been fixed.) We've almost gotten the bugs out of it. (GOTTEN THE BUGS OUT OF IT) We are having technical problems but we're working on it. (WE'RE WORKING ON IT)
