CARELESS LOVE- APRIL 12

Love O love O careless love

Love O love O careless love

Careless foolish heedless clueless

See what love has done to me.

GK: I love hanging out in sports bars

MJ: I love ballet and Pinot Noir

GK: A ribeye rare and a pint of ale

MJ: Brown rice for me and a bowl of kale.

GK: I love the novels of Elmore Leonard

MJ: I love yoga, it keeps me centered

GK: I love everything that Stephen King produced

MJ: Every spring I reread Marcel Proust.

MJ: You seldom say two words to me.

You bolt your food and watch TV.

GK: You correct my grammar and you're quick to

pounce

On any word I mispronounce.

MJ: I ask you how you liked a play.

And all you say is "It's okay."

GK: If I said, It's great, then I could be sure

You'd quote the New York Times reviewer.

MJ: You never say you like my hair

I'm not sure you even see me there.

Would you notice if I went away?

GK: I think your hairdo looks okay.

GK: You knew who I was when we met,

I had a double Scotch and a cigarette.

MJ: You told me you were going to quit last year.

GK: I did, I gave up wine and beer.

MJ: When did you stop being progressive

GK: Big government, I think we need a lot less of

MJ: You bought into that right-wing insanity

GK: I like O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

(SPOKEN)

GK: You love me---- admit it, it's true.

MJ: I wish I knew what to do.

GK: Our love is a beautiful mystery.

MJ: My therapist says you ought to be history.

GK: What would you like to do tonight?

MJ: I'm afraid I've lost the will to fight.

GK: I'll make dinner, we'll have a date.

MJ: Let's listen to Mozart.

GK: Or Tom Waits.

MJ: How about an endive salad with peapods.

GK: A potato salad with boiled brats.

MJ: We never go to New York and it's not that far.

GK: Too hard to find a place to park the car.

MJ: To go to the Met is my dream.

GK: Don't care for the Mets, they're a lousy team.

MJ: I wish you would try therapy too.

GK: I don't see what good it would do.

MJ: It would help you understand our differences

better.

GK: I think our differences are what keep us

together.

Love O love O careless love

Love O love O careless love

Careless foolish heedless clueless

See what love has done to me.
