GK: We're in Waterbury, 33 miles SW of Hartford, just north of New Haven, in the Central Naugatuck Valley. The Naugatuck River is 65 miles long, which is about as long as a river can get in Connecticut without moving to another state. The heavy industry is mostly gone so they've taken out some of the dams and made the river beautiful again, bald eagles (SFX) soar overhead and osprey and herons fish on banks.

GK (SINGS):
I wish I was in Waterbury
The old brassworks by the river side
The forests where they hunted the Nauga
And took the skins for Naugahyde.
