Garrison Keillor: Always good to have the President of the United States with us.


Tim Russell (BUSH): Always good to be here in Minnesota.


GK: It's finally spring, Mr. President.


TR (BUSH): You know, where I come from, it's been spring for a long time. Glad you finally got around to it.


GK: It feels so good and you know-- I look back at some of the negative things I've said about you and I realize --


TR (BUSH): You were wrong.


GK: That was winter talking. That wasn't me.


TR (BUSH): I understand. Believe me. I knew that soon as the weather warmed up, you'd come to your senses.


GK: I feel a lot better.


TR (BUSH): Glad to hear it, because things have never been better in this country than they are right now. The American people are going through some sort of malaise. Thirty-seven percent approval ratings -- it just doesn't make sense. We are doing a heck of a job. A heck of a job.


GK: I just want to help however I can.


TR (BUSH): I think that fifty years from now we're all going to look back and say, George W. Bush was smarter than people gave him credit for. He stuck to his guns and doggone it he was right.


GK: Well, I'm sorry for adding to the negativism.


TR (BUSH): That's all right. I understand. I've made mistakes myself. -- I'm sure I have. -- Can't think of any now but --


GK: I just want to sing a song and try to make up for the gloom and doom I may have expressed in the past. (WE'RE
