Tim Russell: This is Mayor Mike Bloomberg, here to thank New Yorkers for electing me to another term as your mayor. And to remind you that at this Christmas season, as we remember people who need our help, let us keep in mind that the stock market has been essentially flat for the past 12 months and this has hit the Upper East Side of Manhattan very hard. Help us make sure that East Siders enjoy the Christmas they are accustomed to. Please bring your donation of a tastefully-wrapped, in-fashion clothing item to our collection center at Delmonico. Here's a request from a 12-year-old girl on Carnegie Hill for a pair of Prada sunglasses and Jimmy Choo pumps. A real estate developer on Madison needs a Polo bath robe to keep him warm this season. Please don't buy one at Target--he is allergic to blends. There's a young woman in Sutton Place who won't be able to spend a semester in Paris unless you help. Help make someone's dream come true. Whatever you can give -- a Burberry or Gucci or Ralph Lauren, give what you can. This season, extend a helping hand to someone more fortunate than you and join the Republican Party in a clothing drive for the Upper East Side. Merry Christmas and God bless America.
