Wherever in the world I go
Under the clear blue sky
I see younger people
More talented than I.
They're bright and attractive
They have a better sound
Thank goodness they have drug problems
That help to keep them down.
But someday those young people
Will go through recovery
And then there will be no jobs left
For guys like Jim and me.
More and more my career
Is spent with the older set
Who stay at home and are gratified
For whatever they can get.
They don't know who I am
And someday I won't either
And when I don't, I'll become
A star of the musical theater.
Hello old timers
I got Alzheimer's
When I'm in a coma, I will star in Oklahoma
O what a beautiful morning.
