  • Old Crow Medicine Show, Leon Redbone, and more

May 14, 2005 rebroadcast with Vince Giordano, Duke Heitger, Andy Stein, Butch Thompson, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Leon Redbone

This week we'll rebroadcast one of our favorite shows from the Meadowbrook Farm Musical Arts Center in Guilford, New Hampshire (June 5, 2004), featuring an extra-large Guy's All-Star Shoe Band — with guests Vince Giordano, Duke Heitger, Andy Stein, and Butch Thompson — plus music from acoustic rebels Old Crow Medicine Show and a return visit from Leon Redbone. Don't miss it!

  • The Ditty Bops

May 7, 2005 broadcast with The Ditty Bops, George McGovern, Johnny Niemann, and Prudence Johnson

We're thrilled that our tour has us heading west to Mitchell, South Dakota this weekend, for a show at the Corn Palace, which, yes, is a palace made of corn. (Yes. Seriously.) We invited some of our best friends to join us: fiddler Johnny Niemann, sultry singer Prudence Johnson, sound-effects guy Fred Newman. And we'll also welcome acoustic duo The Ditty Bops, as well as former South Dakota senator George McGovern. (Yes. Seriously.)

  • Robin and Linda Williams

April 30, 2005 broadcast with Robin & Linda Williams, Rob Fisher, Prudence Johnson, Elizabeth LaPrelle, and Johnny Niemann

We're headed down to Norfolk, Virginia this weekend for what's sure to be a fine show at Chrysler Hall. We've invited our friends Robin and Linda Williams, along with Their Fine Group, plus: pianist Rob Fisher, the sultry singer Prudence Johnson, singer Elizabeth LaPrelle, and Johnny Niemann on the fiddle. Don't miss it.

  • Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain

April 23, 2005 broadcast with Renee Fleming, and Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain

We've had a great run at The Town Hall in New York City, and we'll be sad to pack up and head west down 43rd Street. But there's still one show to go before we leave, and it's going to be a great one. This week, we've invited Renée Fleming, and Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain. Plus, Andy Stein and the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and the Royal Academy of Radio Actors.

  • Madeleine Peyroux

April 16, 2005 broadcast with Al Franken, Madeleine Peyroux, Jennifer Rivera, Jen Larson, and Rob Fisher

New York has been nice to us, and we're looking forward to another fine Town Hall show this weekend. We've invited comedian, author, and talk-radio host Al Franken; singers Madeleine Peyroux, Jennifer Rivera, and Jen Larson; and pianist Rob Fisher. Plus, the Royal Academy of Radio Acting and our Guy's All-Star Shoe Band.

  • Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks

April 9, 2005 broadcast with Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks, Andre Watts, Odetta, and Andy Stein

It was great to be back in New York last weekend, and we're looking forward to a second show there this Saturday (with clearer weather, we hope): We've invited big-band leader Vince Giordano and his Nighthawks, pianist André Watts, blues and folk singer Odetta, and violinist Andy Stein. The Royal Academy of Actors will be there, too, with the adventures of Guy Noir and so much more.

  • Sam Bush

April 2, 2005 broadcast with Sam Bush, Maude Maggart, Andy Stein, and Prudence Johnson

We've been looking forward to this: On Saturday we'll start our month-long visit to New York City with a live broadcast out of Town Hall. We invited mandolin virtuoso and bluegrass rebel Sam Bush, cabaret star Maude Maggart, violinist Andy Stein and vocalist Prudence Johnson.

  • Philip Brunelle

March 26, 2005 rebroadcast with Philip Brunelle, The Minnesota Orchestra, and Peter Ostroushko

This weekend we're wrapping up a run of rebroadcasts with a great show we did two years ago from Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis; Philip Brunelle and the Minnesota Orchestra were there with us, and Peter Ostroushko joined the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band. We heard words from the Catchup Advisory Board, too, plus the News From Lake Wobegon. It was a great show.

  • Gillian Welch and David Rawlings

March 19, 2005 rebroadcast with Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, Jeff Lang, and Butch Thompson

On November 01, 2003, we spent some time at the Fitz in St. Paul with Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, and Australian guitarist Jeff Lang. Butch Thompson joined us on piano and clarinet as well, and of course we also played host to our Royal Academy of Radio Actors. It was such a great show we thought we'd play it for you again this weekend.

  • Randy Newman

March 12, 2005 rebroadcast with Randy Newman, The Boys of the Lough, and Geoff Muldaur

We're sure you miss New York as much as we do, so this week we're rebroadcasting one of our best shows out of Town Hall—the December 6, 2003 show. On that fine day, our guests included pianist and composer Randy Newman, the Celtic Boys of the Lough, Geoff Muldaur and his Futuristic Ensemble, and Guy Noir; we had so much fun. So tune in. You'll love it.
