  • Gail Steiger

Songwriter, filmmaker, poet, and cowboy Gail Steiger has been playing guitar and writing songs - not to mention cowboying - since he was a youngster. He may have come by some of his talents through the gene pool: His grandfather, Gail I. Gardner, wrote cowboy songs, including the favorite "Tying the Knots in the Devil's Tail." Since 1995, Gail has been the foreman of the Spider Ranch near Prescott, Arizona. His filmRanch Album, celebrating cowboy life and ranching in northern Arizona, was released as a PBS special. He has also traveled the globe working on a documentary about cowboys around the world.
